Bees see the all the colors at high speed
A British study found that bumblebees can see the world very quickly almost about five times the speed of sight in humans.
Focused study, published in the journal "Neuroscience" about the speed of processing carried out by the light receptor cells of bees seen in the cases of color and color-blind.
The study was conducted by researchers from Queen Mary College, University of London, Peter Schorbiski Chitaka and rice which confirmed that the bee hummingbird has the ability to see all the colors and high speed.
The researchers also confirmed that the bee is the fastest speeds compared to see the colors of all other animals, allowing these insects to easily navigate between the shady bushes in order to obtain food.
Color and speed
The study throws light on whether the vision of bees full of colors able to keep up with high-speed flight, and noted that despite the slow pace of the visibility of bees in flight, it is about twice the speed of vision in humans.
The Schorbiski who conducted the laboratory work to study in the Psychology Research Center of the School of Biological and Chemical Sciences Faculty that people can not follow rapid insect flight with the naked eye. But insects can follow each other, due to the high speed vision.
He pointed out that bumblebees use advanced color vision in several respects, it is considered one of the first objects that scientists proved the vision of colors. Since then, scientists found that placing it in good use, moving it through the light camouflage colors and shady areas, and Mtarafa forms such as the entrances to his hideout, and examining in particular the colorful flowers bearing nectar.
And experience has shown that bees burn amount of energy to be able to see more colors than do the vision monochrome (black and white), which raises questions about how to make the most of them.
He added that the energy of bees Schorbiski specifically can not be used randomly or misplaced, because it needs a lot of energy just to stay alive. It seems that bees do not see the colors only half the speed of his vision of the color white, which gives him enough details to find favorite flowers and then move back to his home.
It is known that the speed of the visibility of any object depends on the speed with which the cells can detect (receiver) light in the eye-catching footage (scenes) of the world ocean and then sent to the brain. In this context, most of the flying insects can be seen much faster than a person to see, and thus unable to escape from a stroke.
